Westbrook Estate is almost completely surrounded by greenery by either the Whitemud Creek Ravine or the Derrick Golf Course in southwest Edmonton. Typically, the homes feature larger lots and enjoy a quiet setting. The Derrick Golf Course and Winter Club is a private club that was established at the same time as the neighborhood (late 1950’s) and features a broad range of all-season athletic facilities.
 
There is no school in the community however the surrounding neighborhoods offer these and other commercial services.
